What is the 15 minute Postural Routine?

This 15 minute routine consists of easy-to-do exercises, stretches, and massaging techniques to help your body carefully build general upper body strength and release any emotional and physical tension stored within the muscles and fascial tissue that may be present!

This allows our posture to correct itself naturally, opposed to constantly forcing the spine to be straight. If you have general core strength, you no longer have to think about standing or sitting in a straighter position! This is because you have cultivated enough strength in your neck, shoulders, and back to support your spine AND you’ve also released years worth of built up stress that prevents your upper body from freely and comfortably moving how it was designed to!

Do not be discouraged if at first this routine is challenging!

If you haven’t worked on these muscles in a while or ever before, you can expect lots of tiredness in the arms and shoulders or even slight discomfort during some of the more activating exercises.

I can assure you it will get easier and easier each time you show up for yourself! Eventually you may be able to get through the whole routine without feeling tired because you have developed great upper body strength!

You could start to notice physical and visual improvements right away, in a few days, or weeks! In a month, there should be some significant changes if you are staying consistent!

Not only can this routine improve your postural stance but you could also start seeing more youthful neck and facial features! You can even experience benefits that you didn’t consider as a result of improving your posture, like better sight and digestive health!

Why is it so Important to Prioritize Healthy Posture?

The spine is the foundation of our body!

Our spine is brilliantly designed to be constantly moving, twisting, stretching and contracting! But over the last 20 - 30 years, technology has quickly begun to take a bigger part in our everyday lives. We have become accustomed to a more sedentary way of life.

The average person now spends about 5 hours a day on their technological devices. We are sacrificing our physical wellbeing and vitality in exchange for convenience! The crazy part is… The long term effects of this change in lifestyle have yet to be fully faced since those who grew up with phones are still relatively young!

If you look around, many of us are already experiencing the multiple damaging side effects that come with spending so much time looking downwards, curving our necks and spine over a phone / computer.

Frequent or constant Headaches, cranial nerve issues, weak and stiff neck muscles, rounded shoulders, forward head tilt, and upper back pain are just A FEW of the very common symptoms showing up in those of us who have grown up in the digital age.

The good news is that we are in complete control of our own health.

Yes, We can choose to ignore and numb these symptoms, or we can take active steps towards restoring our natural posture.

I Know, because I myself at one point struggled with all these symptoms. This is what inspired me to cultivate a daily 15 minute routine to activate and relax those SO OFTEN neglected muscles in our upper spine and neck.
